Words have always enchanted me so when I came across this intriguing book for enriching my vocabulary, I couldn't stop myself from reading it. And true to my expectations the book didn't disappoint. It is a fascinating and riveting exercise to improve your vocabulary in a simple, easy, and engaging manner. The book will help you become a master of words and usher you into a world of ideas and powerful communications. It will help you express yourself with conviction and clarity. Highly recommended.

I have never had a great vocabulary and always struggled to find the right words. I also struggled trying to understand people because I didn't know what a lot of words meant. While I am not by any means a vocab wiz (although only on chapter 4) I will say I have definitely learned a lot of new words and actually remember their meaning and how to use them in sentences. I have tried other books without success. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone looking to expand their vocabulary

I had my doubts when getting this book because most vocabulary books claim they will build your vocabulary, but then when you read them, they dump 1100 words on you with 2 or 3 cheesy fill in exercises. While this book doesn’t have nearly as many words, the diversity and quality of the word choice are actually quite good. The book meticulously takes every word and puts you through challenging exercises. It is similar to a textbook but doesn’t have that stale feeling of dry boring readings. After getting to the second unit, I was tickled to see that words appear again from the first unit, which really does reinforce and help me remember words I learned from the previous chapter. This book is really surprisingly well built. It even has words grouped by themes which is really helping me with remembering these words.

There are drawbacks, in that this book is really massive. I believe it’s almost four hundred pages and the part with putting word parts together is really hard. Maybe if the word building section had more new words, they could have put even more readings in the book. I like how words appear in these engaging readings.

Also, if they put more material on each page maybe the length of it wouldn’t have to be so long. Now that I think about it they could put a list of the words in the book so you know exactly where to find the words in the book aside from them being arranged in themes.

Overall, I’m really impressed. I highly recommend this book if you are serious about word learning.
